Celestia is a powerfull and free real-time space simulation that lets you experience our universe in three dimensions. A little bit of hack later and the Fading Suns sci-fi version is here. Download, unpack and Fasten your seatbelt ! Celestia-Fading Suns Edition.zip (43 Mo.) To set the nicest configuration of the visual options, launch the demo on the first run (press D).News : Celestia is v1.6.0. now, this mod is still in 1.4 but it runs fine. Some study of the Celestia engine since I made this mod, and used it as a general purpose 3D engine, should be released soon. The site had a few up and down and in the meantime other rpg fans took the relay. Once was a website I linked the program to. It gave much detailed geographical, political, economical and much more informations on many planets of that galaxy (by right-clicking on a planet and choose info in the menu). This site no longer exists, perhaps one soul will be willing to make it someday ? If you downloaded the first version, simply unpack this patch.zip into your celestia installation.
